When Krystal took the BRCA1 gene test and found out she had a 90% chance of getting breast cancer, she decided to take destiny into her own hands. Choosing to undergo a double mastectomy to prevent the cancer, Krystal started Pink Hope from her hospital bed.
Pink Hope has become a safe haven and resource for people that face hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. Through Pink Hope, Krystal is striving to help women facing the same situation as hers feel supported and become more informed about their decision.
