This year’s on-trend colour lilac is being called the “pink for grown ups”. I have to agree – it’s romantic, subtle, and with the right outfit, looks extremely sophisticated. Here’s how to get the look.
For formal prettiness, choose delicate lace designs with bare skin. Skinny spaghetti straps, backless dresses and sheer fabrics are all ultra-feminine without taking you into bridesmaid fashion territory.
Pair powdery sweaters and coats with cool, contrasting blacks. Edge it up with slick leather pants and boyish t-shirts. Chunky statement jewellery looks striking against flossy pastel fabrics.
I love solid all-over lilac for a look that’s completely modern. Think matching lilac in soft jumpers, silky dresses, faded jeans, pant suits and creamy leather handbags. The more the better – just make sure you break up with a flash of jewellery or statement accessories.
