In 2013, it’s about all-denim everything. With a 90s revival on the fashion agenda as well, these two trends collide in a big way. And although jeans are staples and aren’t going anywhere, you’ll see more denim blouses, dresses, jackets, skirts and overalls – yep, they are all headed our way. Lighter, faded denim will be the order of the day, as spotted on celebs and designers. For those who embraced the double denim trend, never fear, it’s sticking around too.
Denim jackets look great with girly dresses and maxi skirts. Pair denim dresses with flat sandals and for denim skirts, match with a white button up top and cute hat, a la Miranda, or try a leather jacket instead if you want a bit of an edge.

At swiish, we’ve already declared our love for statement jeans. The bright coloured and floral printed jeans trend will stick around in 2013. Keep the rest of your outfit simple and let the jeans speak for themselves!
If you’re looking for something a little different this year, then why not take a leaf out of Kim Kardashian’s book and try a pair of 70’s style flared jeans? They are oh so flattering, balancing out proportions, and especially work well for curvy shapes. Accessorise with oversized sunglasses or a floppy hat.
Boyfriend jeans remain a trend, baggy and low slung, ripped for a little of that ultra cool chic. Pair them with basic tees and statement necklaces. Add bright neon pumps for a pop of colour.
And if you’re remaining a loyal devotee to skinnies, they’re still a wardrobe staple and that’s ok with us – you can’t go wrong with these! They look fab with a pair of heels and a chiffon blouse for a dressed up look or tucked into flat knee-high boots in winter. Keep them casual with ballet flats and a cute printed top for a casual look.
