This summer, fashion will be taking us a whole lot closer to the ocean with some gorgeous seaside styles. Think boating babe meets Hamptons hottie with faded stripes, flowy fabrics, and a super laid-back vibe.
FADED STRIPES
Faded stripes are a great way to get into this trend. It’s very close to the ‘nautical’ trend but with more of a relaxed feel. I absolutely love the look of a striped playsuit or off-the-shoulder dress. It’s absolutely perfect for summer.
EASY BREEZY
A beautiful, bright-white shirt is a staple in every woman’s closet. This season though, we’re looking at styles with a bit more of a relaxed fit. Thinner, breezier fabrics like cheesecloth and cotton are also a must. I love to wear this style with rolled up sleeves and denim cut off’s. Otherwise, a simple shirt-dress is never out of the question.
ALL TIED UP
Rope ties are another great way to really nail this trend. You can buy these in store or just DIY with a slim rope you have lying around at home (provided it’s clean!) It’s a fun, unique way to hold up a pair of high-waisted shorts or accentuate your waist in a dress.
GET SHADY
I’m already a huge fan of a wide-brimmed hat. The fact that it’s so on trend right now is just a bonus! If you really want to go all out on this trend try a large, straw hat. I like to stick to the poolside vibe though with one of those wide-brimmed, floppy styles.
