New Years Eve Cocktails

For the Decadent:  Prosperity

If you’re wishing for riches in the new year then maybe start the way you mean to go on!  The Prosperity is a gin cocktail topped off with Champagne… can’t go wrong…

 Ingredients

• 25ml Gin
• 1 tbsp Crème de Cassis
• 2 tsp elderflower cordial
• 25ml fresh golden grapefruit juice
• Chilled Champagne to top up

Method

• Place the Gin, crème de Cassis, elderflower & Grapefruit juice into a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice and shake hard.
• Strain into a flute & top up with champagne

For the Party Girl: The Fruit Tingle

One for the slightly silly, tastes like fruit tingles!

Ingredients

• 30ml Blue Curacao liqueur
• 30ml raspberry cordial
• Lemonade

Method

Pour curacao over ice in a tumbler. Add raspberry cordial and lemonade at the same time so that the combined effect mixes the drink.

For the Sophisticate: CC Manhattan

More whisky than whimsy? Arm yourself with some Canadian Club and have yourself some scintillating discussions with your friends!

Ingredients

• 60 ml Canadian Club Whisky
• 30 ml sweet vermouth
• 2 dashes bitters

Method

Stir, and pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
