I absolutely love to read (just not the sports section of a newspaper haha!) It gives me a chance to sit back, relax and get lost in a world that’s not of my own.
I’ve been mixing it up lately with a few cook books, health books and even a novel or two. Anyway, here are my top three recent faves that I definitely recommend!
THE SOCIAL DIARY by Ros Reines
I’m a sucker for a juicy novel! I constantly found myself lost in Savannah’s glitzy world of glamour and gossip. The thing I love most about this book is the way you find yourself unable to stop thinking about the characters… it really sucks you in! If you’d love a fabulous and funny read with sophisticated social scenes and ambitious characters (think Gossip Girl or the Devil Wears Prada) then this one’s for you!

GUT by Giulia Enders
I know, I know… the title is kind of off-putting but I love books that I can really learn something from, and this one is definitely one of those! Giulia Enders ‘Gut: The Inside Story of our Body’s Most Underrated Organ’ gives such amazing, easy-to-comprehend info into gut health. She talks about things like why acid reflux happens, gluten and lactose intolerance and even how the gut can affect your weight and mood. I genuinely enjoyed reading every word.

WHOLE FOOD SLOW COOKED by Olivia Andrews
I’ve been inspired by the whole ‘slow food’ movement lately and have a new appreciation and love for my slow cooker. It gets used several times a week, especially in winter. I stumbled upon Olivia Andrew’s Whole Food Slow Cooked. It is absolutely perfect and when you walk into your house after a loooong day at work to the aroma of something delicious bubbling away you know you’re onto a winner! If you want to learn how to make a slow-cooked bolognese, curries, soups or even a caramel pork belly, then this book is definitely for you!

FROM CANCER TO CANCAN by Amanda Pipella
This is one inspirational, gripping, heartbreaking yet ultimately triumphant read. I was lucky enough to meet the beautiful author in person a while back and was deeply moved by her story. Amanda Pipella’s ‘From Cancer to Cancan’ is a must read for anyone. Whether you’re going through a challenge of your own, want an inspirational read or looking to give a gift then this book won’t disappoint. A touching read full of love, laughter and strength.
