The Target Rocks The Runway show held on Sunday at the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival was jam packed with new season trends and a whole lot of star power.
We knew we’d be in for a treat right at the outset when X-Factor Australia winner, Dami Im opened the show with her cover of U2’s ‘One’, and we were not disappointed.
What followed during the runway show was a gorgeous medley of hits – think monochrome, animal prints, boho, neons and denim.
From the front row, our swiish team snapped their favourite pieces from the urban jungle inspired collection. The collection works for both office and weekend wear. There’s a big variety of neutral items that can be teamed with the animal and camo prints or mixed with leather-look pieces.
Continuing the jungle theme, Dami belted out an awesome rendition of Katy Perry’s ‘Roar’. The energy was electric and adding to the star voltage was the ever beautiful Dannii Minogue, who was there showcasing her ‘Petites’ collection.
Full of high-waisted skirts, chic cropped pants and bodycon dresses, monochrome reigned supreme. But with added pops of colour, Danni’s collection will no doubt be a best seller.
Although Aussie shoppers will have to wait until July for the Dannii for Target petite collection to drop instore, there are plenty of on-trend, affordable pieces you can get your mitts on right now. My pick is the hot pink midi-length shift dress (above).
