Hi SWIISH readers, Maha here… there’s something about winter that is just so dreamy and magical. From curling up by the fire with a good book to binge watching Netflix while eating a big bowl of chickpea and vegie curry, winter makes me want to cheat on my favourite season (summer, duh!) to live in a permanent winter wonderland. The only problem is that I don’t have a fireplace and my teeth are usually too sensitive to eat the curry hahaha. And even if I can get past the weather thing, for a food-lover (and cookbook author) like me, the pain I have from my sensitive teeth is a major hurdle.
Fingers crossed this winter will be different though because for the past two weeks, I have been using Sensodyne’s Deep Clean toothpaste, which helps people like me, who suffer from sensitive teeth. I feel like I am a part of a super secret club because I don’t usually admit that I can’t eat everyday foods because of my teeth, and I’m sure there are lots of other people out there who feel the same.
Even a coffee can be too hot for my teeth on some days, and everyone at SWIISH HQ knows I need my daily dose of caffeine so when it gets to the point where I can’t drink my skinny piccolo, I know there’s a problem. Plus as much as I love my Super Green Smoothies being super icy-cold, I usually have to leave them until they are closer to room temperature.
And it’s not just coffee and smoothies, or hot or cold foods – my teeth are sensitive to acidic foods like tomatoes and citrus fruits as well as soft drinks.
Sensodyne kindly asked me to try out their new Deep Clean toothpaste and I’ve found it has helped in the best possible way. Not only does it help my sensitive teeth so I can eat bucket loads of gelato when I want to but it also amazingly whitens my teeth – and let’s face it, who doesn’t want whiter than pearly-white teeth?!
Whilst I have tried other sensitive toothpastes before, they usually leave an unpleasant aftertaste in my mouth but Sensodyne’s Deep Clean is a minty flavour that actually tastes good and leaves my mouth feeling fresh, even in between the two (or ocassionally three) coffees I have a day haha!
Now that I’ve tried Sensodyne’s Deep Clean toothpaste, I’ll be able to live out my winter wonderland fantasy. I’ll just need someone to install a fireplace so I can sit by the fire all day with a good book. Any volunteers?
