Although on swiish we’ve sung the praises of many a bold beauty trend, like cobalt blue eyes and bright lip colour, we also love the natural beauty look, where you’re still wearing makeup but keeping it simple, a little underdone, and sticking to pale and neutral tones.
We love this look because it makes the most of every woman’s unique, gorgeous face where you can play up your features, instead of covering them up with tonnes of makeup.
Hollywood of all places has totally embraced the natural makeup look, with celebrities like Kate Moss, Leighton Meester and Drew Barrymore leading the charge.
It’s easy to do –
Step 1: prep your skin with moisturiser, and apply primer (designed to help your makeup last longer) followed by your foundation.
Step 2: Opt for a light pink cream blush and using your fingers, apply to the apples of your cheeks.
Step 3: Apply a light bronze shadow to your eyes, followed by mascara. Work the mascara wand through the roots of your eyelashes and wiggle it as you pull it upwards. The mascara is really important to highlight your eyes as the rest of your face is being kept neutral. Skip the eyeliner.
Step 4: Finish with a natural lip colour and you’re good to go!
