Blue…. it’s a classic shade and one that more often than not, doesn’t get the credit it deserves because it tends to be cast aside in favour of black. But as much as we love black here at SWIISH, sometimes, it can be so …. yawn…. same same boring.
The joys of blue are many – the other day when popping on my Pretty Woman Navy Maxi dress I realised that 1. I’M NOT WEARING BLACK (high fives all round, everyone!) 2. blue is super flattering for all skin tones and 3. It adds a gorgeous colour to your wardrobe that works in so well with just about every other colour – black, tan, white, red, pink, grey, yellow, the list goes on…. meaning that you get maximum mileage from each piece.

Think ruffles, floaty layers, embroidery, sheer, luxe detailing and more. Add a pair of heeled ankle boots and you’re good to go.
Is it a dress? Is it a top? It’s either – a tunic is so versatile and is a must have for Autumn / Winter. Wear it over jeans or leggings as a top, or with over-the-knee boots as a dress. Either way, you’ll be nailing it in the style stakes.
It doesn’t get any more chic and easy than a navy maxi dress. Flattering for all body shapes, you can dress it down with sneakers and a denim jacket, or dress it up with heels and some delicate gold or silver jewellery.
As we transition into the cooler months, you want a dress that can take you from day to night. It doesn’t get any easier than a long sleeve dress, worn in the day with sneakers and then just switch it up for heels at night. Gotta love a multi-tasker.
